On May 19, Shandong Hi-Speed Group Holdings Limited (0412.HK) completed a major acquisition of Beijing Enterprises Clean Energy Group Co., Ltd. (1250.HK). Shandong Hi-Speed Group Holdings Limited holds a 43.45% stake, becoming the controlling shareholder of Beijing Enterprises Clean Energy Group, adding another new energy listed company to the Shandong Hi-Speed Group’s portfolio.

Beijing Enterprises Clean Energy Group was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Main Board in July 2013. It primarily engages in photovoltaic power generation, wind power generation, and clean heating businesses, and has established a large-scale, industrialized layout with strong growth momentum. Currently, the company operates 2,266 MW of centralized photovoltaic power plants, 700 MW of distributed photovoltaic power plants, 976 MW of onshore wind power plants, and provides clean heating services for over 50 million square meters. In 2021, Beijing Enterprises Clean Energy Group achieved operating revenue of HK$6.023 billion, with a cumulative total operating power generation of 5.788 billion kWh.
The implementation of this acquisition will enable Shandong Hi-Speed Group to quickly enter the renewable energy and clean energy market, leverage its abundant new energy development resources and application scenarios, promote the high-quality integration and development of infrastructure networks and energy networks, build a flagship enterprise in the new energy sector of Shandong Hi-Speed Group, and make a positive contribution to achieving the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.
